Market leading car hire price comparator Carrentals.co.uk is telling UK travellers heading to destinations at home or abroad to book their rental vehicles as soon as they can to ensure they get the deal they want.
This year sees demand for rental vehicles up abroad and domestically, with some destinations in Europe like Alicante, Malaga, Palma and Faro seeing higher than normal demand for the time of year. This means that UK tourists heading there could risk missing out on a car unless they book ahead before travelling.
Gareth Robinson, managing director of Carrentals.co.uk comments: “We have definitely seen a spike in demand for car hire this summer already, and there are some suppliers which are seeing demand outstrip supply and their stock. Some places have stock available still due to the economic climate but they could well run out in the next month or two.”
